Gears of War 2

Just got down to playing Gears of War 2 on Jeremiah's xbox360 and I thought that the gameplay was very good with high levels of realism as players can hide behind walls and shoot from behind walls, just like what happens in real life. For the campaign portion of the game, the storyline is both interesting and touching with fresh concepts of an alien invasion and various characters meeting tragic ends due to the war. Looks like I'm gonna be getting GOW2 and it's prequel.

162 Chapters of Gantz!

Just finished reading the first 162 chapters of Gantz after 9+ hours of it. Been wanting to watch the anime for quite some time but never got around to actually watching it. The plot is totally awesome. Not only is it original, it's also exhilarating and makes you want to root for the gantz players to survive each mission.

At first I didnt have any particular character I liked, Kurono Kei was selfish and way too crazy over girls while Kato was kind but it was bad when he went to the point of being naive sometimes. But I grew to like the Kei from the dino arc onwards.
The only things that probably made the manga less than perfect were the overuse of gore sometimes and the overuse of scantily-clad girls featured on the cover for the beginning of virtually every chapter.

went back to Ubi Ave 4 for the 2nd part of the fencing lesson. the instructor was Jeffrey Lopez. for the first time, we put on the actual fencing gear and fenced with the actual swords.

we fenced using the Épée (there are 3 types of weapons - Foil, Épée & Sabre) coz we chose it during our first lesson. as long as we manage to stab the tip of the epee into the opponent, we'll get a point. each match will last either 3mins or till one fencer scores 5 points.

i was the first fencer up for my team and my opponent was Jack. he's from 06S14 and that's his name if im not wrong. i managed to get first blood in winning a point and i defeated him 5-3 though i didnt expect it since he had prior experience in fencing.

after our time was up, one of Jeffrey's students, Ben, appeared for his lesson. some of us stayed behind to watch how a typical training was like. halfway during the lesson, Jeffrey asked if we would like to fence with that student and i volunteered. this time round, the match time was 9 mins, with a 1 min break every 3 mins and the first to score 15 points wins. Ben was a tough opponent and he won 15-9. it was really tiring, especially for the fingers, since we had to constantly make quick movements around during the match but it was definitely a great experience getting to fence against him.

24-hour Naruto-Arena Marathon

i've been doing some rather crazy stuff lately. just 10mins ago, i finished my near 24-hour marathon in playing naruto-arena. managed to get from an unranked player to the 1st player of the ninja ladder, with 9 characters unlocked lol.

NJC Road Run '07 23rd

managed to come in as 23rd in the J2/IP4 Boys Category in the NJ Road Run today but i think i could have done better coz i already felt tired before the race even started lol. its probably coz of the hockey training yesterday (ran from NJ to Turf City, did physical training on leg muscles and ran back to NJ) and the lack of sleep (slept at 2am after reading the synopsis of 50+ chapters of a manga). and halfway through the run, i even had a stitch lol... my abs felt damn tight and it was really painful to run.

towards the end of the race, after entering the 1st of the 2 sch gates and about 300m from the finish line, i overtook Jerrick. kinda surprised seeing him there lol. didnt know he had so much stamina and could run so fast lol. when i passed the 2nd sch gate, i saw her... and then i sprinted towards the finish line.

this year unlike the last, our hockey team managed to clinch quite a few of the top 25 positions- tuck wen got 4th, zhi rong got 6th, chee seng 15th, haikal 16th.

after resting for like 5 mins, i wanted to register my chip. but it wasnt the J2's turn; they were still registering the chips for the J1/IP3. so i went over to the flag raising area to take my bag. when i came back to the grand stand, everyone was already seated and the performances had started... so i kept my chip since the prize presentation for the top 10 positions was gonna start soon. (this year they decided to cut the budget and only give prizes for the top 10 zzz) after everything was over, as i was going to the gents, i noticed that the lists for the top 25 people for each category were pasted on the wall in the middle section. so i went over to take a look at them and guess wad i saw?

i was appalled to see this FREAKING IMPOSTER who had the nerve to claim my 23rd position. then Mr Sham happened to pass by so i went to approach him to explain the situation. he felt that this was a serious case and asked me to look for Mr Menon and Miss Koh to get the case ressolved. but when i approached Mr Menon, i felt that all i got was bullshit. he told me i should have registered my chip. but how the hell was i supposed to know when to register my chip when there was NO FREAKING announcement for the J2s to register their chips in the flag raising area. i tried explaining that to him but he said the standings probably were moved up. BUT THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. why? coz Jerrick, who came after me, told me that he received the 25th placing chip. and when i checked the list of the top 25 placings, Jerrick's name was written in the 25th position. SO THERE WAS NO UPWARD SHIFT IN THE PLACINGS. ITS IMPOSSIBLE. i tried explaining that to Mr Menon but he just took my chip and said it was over and hes not gonna freaking do anything. im seriously DAMN PISSED by the irresponsibility of this teacher. what he should have done at the least was to return me what i rightfully deserve- my placing. its not as if i was trying to demand him to go through the trouble of finding and catching that freaking imposter. what to do... but to right the wrong MYSELF.

then our class went for lunch with our J1 class. the girls from our class went first. the guys went later coz we were playing soccer lol. on the way there, i found out from my friends that Joseph Choy was from SJI and he's the very short guy with short hair and specs, currently in Softball.

anyway, the lunch was at the bukit timah plaza pizza hut. (i didnt know there was a pizza hut there lol) i was kinda surprised when we arrived. though it was supposed to be an interaction session between our class and our junior class, the girls (from our class) and the junior class was seated in two separate tables. i wonder how they interact lol... by telepathy? or morse code? lmfao.

during the hour before cny, the muah chi stalls were selling transparent plastic bags @ $5 and those who bought the plastic bags could fill the bags with muah chis till they were full. but some pple made use of the crowd to koup muah chi and they came up with some rather interesting tactics to do it lol.

one uncle with two big red plastic bags full of muah chi used this method to koup muah chi. he took out a transparent plastic bag half-filled with muah chi, squeezed his way through the crowd, filled his transparent plastic bag full of muah chi, went off and returned with his transparent plastic bag half-full again to koup some more.

one middle aged woman (i shall refer to her as kouper X) tried to trick the stall keeper into giving her a free transparent plastic bag. first, she asked the stall keeper to pass her a plastic bag. the stall keeper reached out with the plastic bag and asked kouper X to pay. but kouper X just took the plastic bag and then refused to pay, using the excuse that she couldnt reach the stall keeper. wad a lame excuse lol... she didnt even take out any money. meanwhile, while kouper X distracted the stall keeper, her husband reached into the crowd and kouped some muah chi. lol.

once my gp lesson ended, i immediately walked outta the classroom. there was only one chance left to give her the gifts. on my way to find her, as i was walking up the stairs, i saw her ahead and ran towards her. i called out to her and she looked back. then i wished her happy valentine's day & happy bday and gave her my gifts. she smiled and said thank you =D

during the training at NTU today (the 3rd consecutive training in 3 days), i felt like my legs were breaking lol. reached home at 11+pm... tried n hungry- just wanting to lie on my bed and sleep but i had to complete my gifts. luckily i managed to stay awake to complete the bookmark, the bd gift and a card. gonna sleep now and hope that i'll be able to find her and give her the gifts in a few hours time.
also hope that i'll be able to stay awake during lectures & tutorials, and do my best in the hockey match today afternoon...

NJC 4 - UWC 2

today our hockey team played against the United World College (UWC) hockey team, winning 4-2. the 2 goals given to UWC were actually due to careless mistakes that could have been avoided.
in the first half (35mins), we scored 3 goals to nil.
then in the second half, johnathan's (right defender) pass was intercepted by a UWC player who then passed the ball to another UWC guy, who took the shot.

about 15mins into the second half, i was substituted in and had my debut game (at a pitch) as the left forward. during the time i was playing, i managed to make a few good runs. on one occasion, i managed to get one shot-on-target.
it was like this. i was in front of zhi rong (left half) and behind a UWC defender. after he received the ball, i ran towards the D-area. then zhi rong made a right-forward pass to aaron (center forward) who was in the mid area. as aaron dribbled the ball up, i entered the D-area, ran behind the 2 defenders who were going towards aaron and called for the ball. aaron passed the ball through the opening between the defenders and i did a one-touch sweep hit at the goal. too bad the goalkeeper managed to save it...

after making those runs in 10-15minutes of the game, i was panting like crazy lol. maybe it was because of my flu... but i guess it'll be good if i trained more on my stamina for sprinting.

after i bought some paper from the photocopying shop and was walking towards the com lab, bytez, i was thinking of how unlucky the year had been. 1stly, i used to have a PE lesson that was in the same time slot as her on mondays but the school changed the time table and now its gone. 2ndly, the classroom for most of my classes are fixed at TB32, the furthest end away from the her class' classroom. as i was approaching the bytez i met her, who was with 2 friends, and we walked past each other. as she approached, i said hi and she smiled. i dont know whether she was smiling coz she was talking to her friends but i hope its coz i said hi...
then i was like thinking: this has been the best day eversince school started...

i think it was very lucky that i managed to find a buyer for my xbox360 core set on the day i made the sales thread in the hardwarezone.com forum on sunday coz today is the last day for that xbox360 premium set promotion and i had to raise the money quick. met the buyer today and sold the core set for $315 =D

tennis

today for PE, we had free games. yan zhi, rui chao n gabriel decided to play badminton while chee kian n i went for tennis.
at first we brought 4 balls with us.
while we were playing, elaine and 2 other girls went to the court next to ours.
after playing for about 5mins, chee kian hit one ball out of the school. next, i hit a ball over the fence and to the court where elaine was playing at. so we were left with 2 balls.
then came rui chao, yan zhi n gabriel (who gave up fighting over the badminton rackets with the girls from our class).
next up was gabriel. (assuming he was facing north) he hit the ball to his south-west and out it went to RGS. one ball left lmfao...
soon, it was the end of PE. as elaine n the girls were leaving, we asked if we could have some balls and they gave us some. not long after, rui chao hit a homerun to RGS as well.
luckily gabriel saw this uncle outside and asked him to help us pick the balls lol

damn heng for promos

we received our results today and i think i was damn heng lol...

1st up was the econs paper. i got 51. thank god lol... studied from 10am to just before the exam started (ard 2pm)

next up was the maths paper... 46 was a bit disappointing but wad could i have expected? i didnt really do tutorials throughout the year (in fact i didnt really do tutorials for all my subjects) and i cocked up the day before the exam... fell asleep accidentally and starting chao piaing when i woke up at 6:15am to the moment i reached the venue at 8:15am (i was kinda late for the exam lol)

then came the physics paper... i prayed for a B before i received it... AND i got a B!! =D i was hoping i'd get a B coz i felt the paper was really easy while i was doing it and this is probably gonna be the only paper im gonna get a B for (and i was right..) luckily i chao pia for this paper earlier... started at 10pm all the way to 8am (when the exam started)

finally, it was the chem paper... didnt expect high marks since i really cocked up for this paper (i couldnt do 2 full questions out of the 9 coz i couldnt find the data in the data booklet... but i found the data AFTER the exam...-__-) but luckily i still got a mere pass of 45 (just nice lol)

looks like i really have to mug this nov-dec holidays (for the 1st time of my life...) but i dunno how im gonna be able to do it but pray i will really have the discipline to mug -__-

earlier today, i went up the 961 and sat at the 2nd last row. i put my shoebag on the floor between my feet. when i woke up, it was gone. when i asked the uncle sitting beside me if he had saw it, he told me two yalams took it.

dunno wads the ocassion but mrs chak invited us to her house for a 2A class gathering. the usual people turned up:
alvin, wei xing, wee kiat, sylvia, ler xian,
yong soon, yi hong, jun jie, qing sheng, yibo,
jian rong, roy, nina, elaine, suling, beatrice, shu hui,
and of course me.

at first, we played cards. then it was dinner time. mrs chak made curry chicken and asked her maid to fry some pratas. after dinner, me, alvin, shu hui, yi hong and peng bo played monopoly. peng bo was very active... and very loud as he made all those exaggerated actions (as usual) lol.
during the game, i kept going to jail and ended up with the least property after about 8-10 rounds- only had 1 red (property), 1 yellow, 1 grey. yi hong had 2 reds, 1 yellow, 1 orange, 1 railway, 2 greens, 1 pink. shu hui had 2 greys, 2 pinks, 1 blue. peng bo bought 2 purples, 2 oranges, 1 railway. then alvin decided to quit and put his property up for auction- 1 green, 1 railway, 1 utilities and 1 blue.
it was the turning point for me when i bid for the green and the railway. i traded the green for yihong's yellow piece and traded my grey +money for shu hui's yellow piece.
at the same time, yi hong sold his orange to peng bo -__- and this was another turning point. peng bo built 3 houses per property (that's 200 rent per visit...) and it caused us to lose lots of money to him esp shu hui and yi hong (i was lucky, only landed on his property once).
after many rounds, i finally landed on my property and built 3houses per property (850 per visit). this was another turning point because it made me quick bucks and it was this that let me win the game =)

btw, halfway thru the monopoly game, some people had to leave, so we took a grp photo.

after the monopoly game, i went over to the remaining guys and they were playing mass "cai quan". losing meant drinking one shot of curry and eating one otah. (note the otahs were not very well cooked). in the end, ler xian was the most unluckiest person. he lost 5 times...drank 5 shots of curry and ate 5 otahs. jian rong and qing sheng were lucky and finished the game unscathed.

den after school, just before i went for hockey training, i went to put my plate back to the cai tou kuei stall. on my way there, i couldnt really see clearly (coz my specs are spoiled and i didnt have them on) but i think i saw her sitting around on one of the canteen benches studying.

today, me, yun shuen, xin ying and yeong chyn went to interview mr kenneth tan, the chairman of golden village and the singapore film society, for our project work on promoting the appreciation of film appreciation.

our supervising tutor said my ideas- mobile film exhibit, parody making competition, film elective programme, were on the whole ok but my group had to scrap the parody making competition coz we had no justification on why we wanted to use parodies. however, the moment we started the interview, the first thing mr tan mentioned was the parody making competition. he said it was very interesting. den towards the end of the interview, we asked him whether our ideas would work he said our ideas were "very good" and feasible. lol its a relieve lol.

lol. our showtime team didnt make it for the second round. i bet team 4 asked their friends, relatives, aunties, uncles to make lots of calls to vote for themselves coz they were trailing by around 3 points (out of 30)... lmfao.

when it was announced dat we didnt make it to the next round, it was a mix of joy and disappointment. joy of not being burdened to carry on with the next round coz promos are near and i flopped my common tests. disappointment because our team did really well for this round and im sure we can win something if we continued lol but now we have lost our chance to do so.

one fine day, little miss apple, little miss bee, little miss cloud, sleepy jr and spikey jr went to their kindergarten, which was called the inter-national kindergarten, as usual. after their lessons were over, there was a sand castle building project work and these 5 little kids were randomly put together in a team, called 095. their supervising teacher was miss thin.
30 minutes were given to the little kiddies to plan how they wanted to build their sand castles and then 1 hour was given for them to build the castles.
team 095 did not plan properly during the 30 minutes and had problems building the sand castle. when it was 31 minutes, 7 seconds and 6 milliseconds (31:07:06) into the competition, they decided to seek the help of miss thin.
however, spikey jr had a stomachache and went to the toilet. sleepy jr went over to a corner and took an afternoon nap. little miss bee was too engrossed in trying to catch a fluttering butterfly. little miss cloud was MIA. so little miss apple went to approach miss thin alone.
after 10 minutes, spikey jr was done with his business and went over to help little miss apple in her discussion with miss thin. halfway thru the discussion, spikey jr was too exhausted and fell asleep. miss thin scolded spikey jr as if he deserved it though he bothered to contribute in the discussion and didnt really intend to sleep. he was just too exhausted...

Showtime ep 6

watched showtime ep6 today. this is the 2nd ep for the open category.

after watching it, i was like... "uh... ok... some of the school category performances were much much better than those shown today..."

the best score today was 24.7 (S1). In the episode shot last friday, which we performed in and is gonna be shown next tues, the group with the 3rd highest score got around 24.7 lol.

i also noticed dat brian wong seems to be gaving 9.x out of 10 for almost every open category group. he also did it today, even though there was like a vast difference in scores given by the other judges- they were like giving around 5-7 points.
brian's 9.0 points seems to be equivalent to my idea of zero. i think hes being nice to all the open category groups. dis is the open category after all- it wouldnt look good if the groups got points dat are too low right... so maybe brian is just trying to help the groups get at least 20 out of 30.

just watched the news... it was announced dat S1 and S3, which had the highest scores during the show, got thru to the next rnd. from what it seems... the 2 grps with the highest pts are most likely going to the next rnd- aka our grp will be likely to get thru since we scored the 2nd highest points, which is both good and bad news... (there goes my promos...)

IF we get thru, i wonder if we will be up against those groups dat won dis round. i hope we do.

at first she asked me if i knew a person called Yu Lan. i didnt so i told her i didnt. then... (sorry the interviewer was daydreaming and didnt take down this part)

then she asked me who were the "CorpMedia" people i had been contacting all this time regarding the "TimeShow" stuff. so i told her.

here comes the long complicated part. she asked angrily who had been the leader of our showtime grp, and i told her honestly dat it was me.
she asked me about the details of the contract "Mr Hok" signed with the "CorpMedia" pple. "Mr Hok" never showed my group the contract nor told us anything regarding it. "Mdm NooW" also didnt tell us anything. i only heard from the "CorpMedia" people who came to shoot our preparation dat those people who appeared on that day CANNOT quit "TimeShow" no matter what unless our group gets knocked out. so i just told Miss Gn wad i knew. she wasnt satisfied continued asking me the details of the contract. i was like... wth... how am i supposed to know?! shouldnt she ask "Mr Hok" or something?! bye la...
when i was unable to give her the full details, Miss Gn talked to me in a tone dat sounded like she was scolding me. but im not sure if she was really scolding me. she told me she was one of the teachers in charge and "Mdm Noow" was never the teacher in charge. i was like... how the hell am i supposed to know?! u nvr appeared to talk to our grp regarding "TimeShow" until 5 days ago when the school started getting concerned about it. she seemed more like a teacher helping out at the last moment coz our group was having problems in the last 4 days before our "TimeShow" performace which was gonna be aired on national tv. moreover, "Mdm Noow" was the teacher who was most involved in the progress of our "TimeShow" preparations. "Mdm Noow" was also the one who took me to "CorpMedia" and was the only teacher who appeared when the "CorpMedia" pple came to shoot our preparations.
den after that she continued by saying there has been communication problems... and it sounded to me dat she was trying to imply dat i was my fault for the communication problems; dat i was a lousy leader. yea i admit i was lousy coz im inexperienced. but shouldnt the teachers be the ones to tell us who are the actual teachers in charge and tell us clearly the details of admin stuff dat they know?! how come its supposed to be my fault?!
anyway, so i told "Miss Gn" dat i was under the impression dat "Mdm Noow" and "Mr Hok" were the teachers in charge. and she said, "im holding u to ur word dat u were under the impression dat 'Mdm Noow' and 'Mr Hok' were the teachers in charge." it seemed as if she was a police officer interrogating a criminal... at dis pt i was starting to get annoyed by her harsh tone dat made me feel dat she didnt trust me and felt dat i was a liar.
den it got even worse. she wanted to meet me tml (time of conversation= sunday, tml= monday). i thought: ok fine, i can meet u tml to clear things up. so i asked her when she wanted to meet me, "do u want to meet me after school or during my break?" then she totally pissed me off by saying: "u'd better keep your phone on and answer my call immediately when i call you. and u'd better rush down immediately as and when i want to see u. dont expect me to be waiting for u to reply to my call or to come down and meet me." it was so damn rude and inconsiderate. it was like WTF?! who the F**K do u think u are?! AM I YOUR SERVANT?! WHY DO I HAVE TO BE AT YOUR BECK AND CALL?! WTF HAVE I DONE WRONG?! is it my fault for the communication problems?! zzz...
before we ended the call... she said, "u'd better not disclose any part of the conversation to 'Mr Hok!'" i made a big mistake by agreeing coz i didnt ask her for the reason and at dat moment, i forgot dat "Mr Hok" was the highest authority as the overall teacher in charge... zzz. after i agreed, i was like wondering why she has to make it so mysterious such dat she has to hide it from "Mr Hok"...

one day, a boy on the street was interviewed on how he felt about Miss Saphhire Gn. he said...

at first i tot "Miss Sapphire Gn" was quite a nice person... she stayed with our group to help us with our "TimeShow" preparations since this tuesday though we stayed in school quite late each time. she even helped us buy dinner. i thought she was a dedicated teacher who was helpful and kind to her students.

but my impression of her gradually changed starting from wednesday.
when she decided dat there was gonna be no "separation" of the lead character, she didnt even bother to listen to my suggestion and said something like "no. stop it." to cut me off when i was suggesting a way to do the "separation". i know we were short on time... but just listening to a suggestion cant hurt right? i just cant help but feel dat she doesnt really like/trust me or something. =(
then on friday, which was the actual day for our "TimeShow" performance, she was talking to "Arbed" about her poor performance as the phantom. from wad i see, everyone was trying their best, even "Arbed". Miss Gn said something liddat... "i dont care if ur hands feel tired or u are unhappy with what im saying, but u better do it again and again until u get it." at dat time i thought it was a bit harsh on "Arbed" but i didnt think so much about it since it didnt happen to me.

today she called me. i couldnt receive her call at dat time so i cancelled her call. then i called her immediately when i was able to. i explained to her why i couldnt receive her call. the first thing she asked me was... (unable to disclose because she didnt want me to disclose anything from our conversation before tomorrow)
throughout the conversation, she sounded damn pissed even though i was talking with a very nice tone and i had a valid reason for not being able to take up her call at first. she seemed to be like scolding me at every moment.
bleh... now i wonder whether shes a nice teacher or not... (to be continued)

lessons learnt from showtime

i was a rather inexperienced leader and made quite a few mistakes during the preparation of this 1st round for showtime.
i didnt have a solid plan as to what exactly we needed to complete by certain deadlines and Mr Koh scolded me for it. i didnt plan ahead early enough and met some problems, and Mr Koh scolded me for it as well.

ive also learnt that comments and ideas given by tutors and mentors are very valuable.
i still remember the time i doubted my GEC mentor, Mr Daniel Chew, when he told our group dat we didnt need to go too much into details and could just cock some stuff for the GEC proposal but it must sound or look reasonable. the rest of my group was like saying Mr Chew was talking rubbish. on dat day, we were having problems with the savings dat could be saved by using our step-it shoes coz it was too little to make it a viable plan. i decided to listen to Mr Chew and cock some figures up. he was right... in the end, we won the 1st runner-up coz our idea was the most creative and looked rather viable (coz of the possible savings)
den a few days ago, Mr Koh suggested dat we have a matrix effect on our props for our showtime performance. i thought it was unnecessary coz it didnt really have any meaning. the other group members felt that it was stupid and unneeded. however, on the day before the actual performance, we thought of having han ern point at the levitating objects and slur his speech. in the end, we got 26.5 out of 30 points and i think it was partly due to the matrix effect.
it seems dat the comments dat tutors or mentors give may seem stupid to us, but we should always keep ourselves open to such comments because these pple are not our mentors without reason.

i also felt dat i should try to control my temper even though group members cock up coz they didnt read the details of our performace dat i spent lots of hours typing out. i evaluated what had happened and felt dat i shouldnt have blown my top since it doesnt solve anything at all but makes matters worse by making the members more frustrated.

showtime has really been a valuable experience to me...

IT'S SHOWTIME!!!

after only practising for 3 times yesterday, we went over to mediacorp today at 9:30am for the preshow rehearsals. the backstage area was damn cold lor... after the performance ended at 10+pm and we moved our props up, there were water droplets on our props lol. anyway back to the main story.

during the 1st full dress rehearsal, the producers (not the actual judges) gave us a 18.6 out of 30. they commented that our performace had a great improvement from the one we showed them on monday. but our score was the lowest at that time. i was sorta disappointed and afraid dat we would disgrace ourselves on tv with dat kinda low score for the actual thing.

during the 2nd full dress rehearsal, the producers gave us a 20.3 out of 30. i was a bit more relieved coz it was at least around a 66/100 but i hoped we could do better and do ourselves and the school proud.

as for the 3rd full dress rehearsal, i didnt get to see our score.

after dat, it was preparation time for the real thing. han ern, kangyu, wei yi, chee kian and i saw kym ng in the dressing room where a make-up artist was putting on the make up for her. guo liang was standing next to her talking on his hp. surprisingly, his english sounded rather proficient! anyway, kym ng talked to us and asked us stuff like why we joined the open category, etc

den at around 7+pm, it was time for han ern and kangyu to go for their make-up. when they came back, they looked damn funny! han ern looked like a dork (esp with glasses on) while kangyu looked like a 70's mafia boss... kangyu felt dat he was going for "MALU TIME!" instead of ShowTime lol.

anyway, when the show started, group 2 cocked up for their opening speech, followed by group 3. as a result, we had to repeat our opening speech 3 times -_-...
after dat, we had to run like the wind to get ready for our performance behind the stage.

during our performance, there was a bit of a cock up in the mirror part of the performance coz the black cloth fell off. luckily the judges didnt seem to notice lol.

after our performance, we stood together and received comments from the panel of 3 judges and they were praising us for our good performance =)
in the end we got 26.5 out of 30 pts!! woot! its not bad... considering we prepared like 90% of our performance in 3 days.

after our performance, when we were watching the others' performances via a tv in the backstage, kangyu told me the make-up artist literally dug into the hair gel with a comb, smacked the whole pile of gel onto his hair and combed his hair with the gel. i touched his hair and it really was rock hard...

when i was watching group 3's performance, i really admired them for their wonderful performance. u can say dat they beat us hands down and i feel dat they deserved to get a virtually perfect score of 29.1!

in the end our score was the 2nd highest dat day, with group 3 topping the charts with an imba 29.1, and our group can definitely say dat we have done ourselves and the school proud.

i think this past few days has really been like mission impossible... it seemed impossible but we managed to do it in the end =)

i think i gotta thank all the group members for their dedication and their time spent working on our showtime performance in the past few weeks, especially a group of people who stayed the longest every day and contributed the most and also the people who decided to help us out when we were having trouble in the last minutes of our preparation.

now i cant wait for the episode to be aired on channel 8 on 1 Aug 8pm ard 2 weeks later.

mission impossible day 3 of 3

the final day for our showtime preparations...

today, other den both mr koh and miss ng, some hod pple together with a female teacher appeared. one of them was the maths lecturer for integration lol

today, like yesterday, we were often stuck at the tv/mirror part of the performance in the beginning. when mr koh, arrived, we told him about the changes to our plot and he was a bit annoyed because we decided not to do some of the stuff he suggested and changed them to something dat was similar to our previous ideas.

den, mr koh wanted us to rehearse the finale part with the music he prepared yesterday. he felt dat we needed to practise on it since he made the music such dat it was perfectly timed and the finale of our performance had to be choreographed according to the finale music.

after 2 rehearsals, the female teacher (who i have nvr seen before) suggested dat we cover a part of the "blanket" with black cloth to make it look as if the "blanket" was in mid air. some of us made the blanket better while others made the final preparations for the props they were in charge of.

in the end, we managed to have 3 full rehearsals, make final preparations to our props and dat was it. we went home after dat. didnt know it was already so late when we left the InE hub- it was 10:15pm when i checked my hp.

haiz... dunno if we are really ready for tml... =(

mission impossible day 2 of 3

hmm there wasnt much progress today.

we tried to have a few rehearsals but we were always stuck at the tv part or the mirror part of the performance coz of cock-ups. then miss ng would start discussing how to do it better and stuff liddat with the others while i was kneeling down inside our "bed". i was like "wad the" lor... it was hot inside and i knelt till my knees and ankles hurt like a fk lor. -_-

in the end, we just did touch up on the props and some minor changes to the plot coz some stuff needed to be improved on while some others were quite difficult to do, eg the "separation" of the lead character's body.

meanwhile, wei yi and mr koh are making the music with mr koh's DJ friends. hope we can finish everything tml lol... only tml left before the showtime performance on friday...

mission impossible day 1 of 3

the school's higher ups got wind dat we were having troubles with our showtime performance. as a result, Miss Ng came and told us about the situation. she added dat the school was gonna be giving us full financial support no matter how much we spend coz it was a matter of the school's reputation on stake. now dat's serious...

miss ng decided dat she was gonna buy cloth and wrap em around benches to make our bed and in the end it really looked like a real bed. she also managed to get han ern as our lead actor for the show... to the relieve of dawn. den she even bought dinner for us. hmmmm... looks like she isnt dat fierce and unapproachable as i thought. in fact i think shes quite nice and resourceful. =)

kangyu and i also tried out the levitation part using the cloth and it looked quite good... so i ended up with the role of acting as han ern's legs during the levitation.

today i ate from the cai fan store during our 20min break time. i arrived at the canteen late and barely managed to finish when the bell rang. den when i was walking towards the cai fan store to put my plate, i saw her walking towards the store to put her plate as well. i went to the other pail to put my plate. den when i turned around, i saw her and she saw me. our eyes met and i was stunned. she looked rather surprised as well. we stood there for like 1 or 2 sec and she walked away...

den we were late for chem makeup lesson (which was held after our break, during our originally free period) by abt 6mins and mrs kong closed the doors on chee kian, yan zhi, rui chao, gabriel and me right after jason and kangyu got in lol.

another late night in sch doing showtime stuff... just reached home

in the end, we didnt manage to finish our props or start rehearsing before the mediacorp producers arrived. our presentation was a flop. the members didnt even know wad to do (probably coz they never bothered to read the plot details i sent them). the mediacorp pple commented dat our preparation is only about 10% done, the duration of our performance is too long and our standard cant even match the performances of the school category; not to mention the open category... they also felt that some details of our plot were not very good and suggested we make some changes to our plot.

as a result, there were very major changes in the plot today. we removed the wardrobe and are only left with the tv, mirror and bed.

i think this turn of events is for (both) the good and the bad. its good in a sense that the harsh reality of our current situation has sounded the alarm bells among the group members and they started to actively contribute ideas and solve problems regarding the props they are in charge of making instead of heavily depending on and asking me to tell them wad they have to do to make the props and the possible solutions for their problems.
however, the bad news is... we have yet to complete our props... EVEN UP TILL TODAY!!! we have tues (tml), wed, thurs left before the actual show on friday...
3 days to finish our plot details, props and timing, and START practising our performance till its perfect. mission impossible. its just like asking a musician to compose a music piece and to be able to play it perfectly for a concert within 3 days.

during PE, i checked the notice board and found out dat she was in the same sport for PE as me... lucky lol. i chose hockey last monday as my 1st choice, basketball as my 2nd, volleyball as the 3rd and touch rugby as 4th. it was coz i wanted to use PE time to train my hockey skills since ive missed 3 weeks of hockey training coz of showtime and i needed to make up for the lost time...
didnt know it was gonna be so zhun lol. =P

crap lol... its gg for the monday preshow, where the pple from mediacorp will come down and take a look at our performace; which is supposed to be near perfect -___-

we didnt manage to finish the props today, not to mention rehearse our performace. so now we only have amount of time dats between the time our lessons end and the time the mediacorp pple arrive (3:30pm). i wonder how we are gonna do it within less den 1 hour (my dismissal time is 2:50pm).
so now my plan is to have everyone in the group to get excuse from their teachers to pon civics and come help out with the props and rehearse starting from lunch time all the way till the mediacorp pple come. i really pray dat we can make it... if not the mediacorp pple are gonna be damn pissed.

just reached home... today is the 2nd latest day i reached home from sch (last thurs was the latest...near 12mn)

finally... our most complicated prop (its very complicated inside); the tv, is almost complete. we finally attached tv (top box) to the table (bottom box).

today there was the harmonica concert so melissa, yun shuen and yi chiew left at 6:20pm. then sharon, dawn and tessa left at around 7 plus. in the end, only zhong liang, ian and i were left.

we did the painting of the interior of the tv. after the black paint in the tv dried at around 9pm, zhong liang and i had to crawl into the tv in total darkness (coz the interior of the tv was totally black) and stick the reinforcements while ian helped us hold the tv and table together from the outside. not only dat, it was cramp and hot coz the space was very small, there wasnt much ventilation inside the boxes and we had to use light from zhong liang's phone, which made the phone emit a lot of heat. but den, we ran out of tape, so we had to stop after the joining 3 sides of the tv and table, and the person in charge of locking the gates hurried us to leave sch coz it was 10pm. so now the only thing left to do is to seal the last side, cut the gaps, attach the cloth and repainting over the masking tape we pasted.

luckily zhong liang has been helping us all this while though he didnt join showtime. if not i think we'd be in even deeper shit now. hope our group can really finish our props and start rehearsals tml coz we have fallen way way behind the schedule i set- we were supposed to finish making the props last saturday...

it feels weird after rushing our showtime performance everyday for the past 2 weeks.

it feels like it has been a very long time since we thought of our latest performance idea of having a ghost in the house, as if it has been weeks or even a month ago.

but when i come to think of it carefully, its only been exactly one week since the shooting of our preparation and ah ben came for the interview. (we thought of the ghost in a house idea the day last wednesday)

maybe its coz i've been staying in sch till around 8pm everyday since last wednesday, doing a lot of prep stuff for showtime. so it feels like a lot of time has passed though only one week has passed. its just weird. lol.

during gp today, miss wan told us the results for our gp common test. i got a grade 5 while jason got a grade 3. during the lesson, wen yi, jason and i talked about how we "studied for english". jason said there was no need to study for english. i agreed and said all there was to it was to read storybooks. during the conversation, jason mentioned dat he reads a lot of books, magazines and newspapers. i was rather surprised coz he didnt look like the type to read books lol. come to think of it, i havent read a storybook since primary 6, the time when we were forced to read books by our teacher lol. hmm.. think i shld start reading from now...

just came home from making showtime props...

bleh... slit my wrist with my uber sharp penknife today while cutting cardboard. hmm made a discovery today. it seems dat if ur penknife is sharp, it makes a very clean cut so u feel only very little pain even though the penknife has cut through ur layer(s) of skin. luckily the slit was parallel to my wrist and it didnt cut my artery lol.

anyway, it seems im quite lucky these few days. i keep oversleeping coz i've been preparing showtime stuff till like around 2am everyday since last week. but everytime i oversleep or something, it just happens dat it rains (actually before/during my journey to school) and usually stops when i reach school. so there's no assembly whenever im supposed to be late woot.

now have to plan the agenda and deadlines from tml till fri next week...
hope our group can rush out our showtime performance in time lol.

today 3 more ine members joined our showtime team: wei yi, sharon, justine.
its a good thing coz now we have more ideas people. ideas for the performance used to come mainly from me and melissa. now that we have 3 more people who have more ideas to share, im sure we're gonna make our performance even better.
so now our team consists of: me, wei yi, ian, sharon, melissa, yun shuen, yi chiew, debra, yun rui, dawn, justine and tessa.

today sharon, kangyu, yun rui n sharifah worked on the plan v4 that i made last night. they estimated dat 4 scenes: living room->toilet->bedroom->bedroom (changed view) would take more den 3 minutes so they suggested dat we make it shorter. the most important scene was the bedroom scene because we need it in order to present the grand finale where the main character disappears into thin air. the least important scene was the toilet scene since we had some problems with it so i suggested dat maybe we should take it out. but this meant the scene immediately after the living room scene would be the bedroom scene; we didnt have enough manpower to have people ready with all the props from the living room and bedroom at once. hence, we took the defining idea for that scene; the ghost hand coming out of the tv, and modified it to make it suitable for the bedroom scene. so in the end, we ended up with the bedroom scene and the final scene, with some plot details unfinished. we are gonna finish the plot details by tomorrow.

but too bad we couldnt finish making the props... hope we can finish by tml 6pm so dat we can start rehearsals in the hall dat mr koh booked from 6:40-9pm. only 6 days left before the preshow and 10 days before the actual performance. im sure we can make it a success!

rewatched the jap chao ji bian bian bian performances today.
i realised dat though our plot is relatively good, our creative points are not as good as those in the sch category performances... cant imagine it being better than the open category groups dat we will be up against...

the jap chao ji bian bian bian groups all used 3d props and no matter which angle u view from, the performance will still be as good. however, our grp's props is made such dat ONLY the audience directly in front and at the same level will see a relatively good performance while others will feel dat it sux. wads more, our effects dont have much creativity. they mainly involve covering stuff with our props in a 2d manner...

crap... we are gonna throw face on tv if we cant make it better... gotta start brainstorming now... zzz

we felt that we couldnt make it for the showtime preshow rehearsal next thursday so we asked mdm woon if she could ask mediacorp if we could change the date to like next saturday. mdm woon asked me to ask mr koh if he was free on next sat.

so i called mr koh but he didnt listen (he was probably resting coz he was sick). den after an hour, he called back. he was rather frustrated that we had to change the date coz we had been changing our idea for the 1st round a number of times, etc. he told me dat its like the "world revolves around our grp" and he said "u do realise dat its because u started late dat u have so much problems now".

well... i felt a bit unfair. it wasnt my plan to start late. i wanted to start like in april, right after we signed up for showtime. but at dat time there was only dawn and me. moreover, mr koh said it was gonna be an ine activity and ine members will join and help us. so i waited for the announcement of the people joining our grp.

however, the ine exco delayed the asking of ine members to join showtime until late may, just before the june holidays. ok... so we were delayed by 1.5 months. den i asked the ine exco abt the confirmed members in late may, before we went for the june holidays. there was no reply. i asked again in the 1st week of june (2nd week of june hols) and finally got a confirmed list of members at the end of the week.

so i arranged a meeting on the monday of the 3rd week of the june hols. we tried thinking of a good idea but we couldnt think of one. during the 3rd week of the june hols, we were all rather busy with things such as make-up lessons and we managed to have another meeting dat week during which we still couldnt come up with a good idea.

in the 4th week of the june hols, we had GEC, so monday and tuesday was gone. it would be unreasonable for me to ask for the showtime members to come out to meet and discuss showtime during the 4th week coz they needed to study for their common tests. meanwhile, i had fever the day after the GEC... for nearly 2 weeks.

the next time we met up was on the thursday after sch reopened- 29 june. only melissa, yun shuen, yi chiew and me turned up (i was still having a fever). we thought of the idea of presenting the jaw dropper (an attraction in Genting).

den i had make up common tests on the next day; friday 30 june and on the tuesday of the following week; 4 july. so the showtime members didnt meet up during this time. we started making the props for the jaw dropper idea on tuesday 4 june but kangyu suggested dat we make use of a scene from zhou xing chi's movie "shanghai 1987" where there was a gambler with powers to see through the walls of the dice jar. he was able to see the numbers on the dice in the jar and hence he kept winning money coz he knew when it was "da" (big) and when it was "xiao" (small). den, the banker was changed. he shook the 3 die in the jar such dat one dice was totally covered by the other 2 die. we wanted to use this dice idea instead of the jaw dropper idea so we started developing on the idea. we thought of how we could let the audience "see inside the magnified jar" and how we were going to have the die move around in the "jar". when we were almost finished, we called mediacorp and told them the change in idea but they said we couldnt have any gambling theme or devices according to the media development authority. so we decided to change the gambler into a boy who told his mother he had psychic powers, the banker into the boy's mother, and worse of all we had to change the 3 die into something as pathetic as 3 beans.

coz of the change in props and story, we felt the dice idea had became rather obit and had no meaning at all on wednesday 5 june (one day before the showtime shooting of our preparation). so we were stuck again... den melissa remembered the ghost in a house idea we thought of and i started giving ideas on how to develop the story, inject creativity and innovation to the plot and the props. den we started making the props till quite late (9pm) dat day.

den we had to stay in sch to do the showtime shooting of our preparation on thursday 6 june till 10pm and we stayed in sch to do the props until 7pm today. though we were given so little time coz of the delay in the ine exco getting members, we are all trying our best and giving our utmost effort already, such as thinking up of a good idea and making a few props within a day, and staying back till late night every day. however, i think mr koh seems to be having the impression dat we are lazy and only think of stuff at the last minute. its so sad...

just returned from the shooting of the channel 8 showtime portion where they filmed our props making process and interviewed our team. been having a headache since afternoon and now my temp has risen to 37.1 degrees...think im gonna get a fever soon due to exhaustion...

today, i got back my physics common test. i got 44.5 marks- not bad la... considering i never did tutorials, never studied during the june holidays and only studied 7hours the night before, starting from 7pm to 2am. our class also did rather badly for physics- so badly dat i think that we are the last in the level. we have 1 person getting D, 2 people getting E and 20 people with S and F. haiz... too bad i screwed up on that day. my mind went blank probably coz of information overload (studied physics 7hours, den maths 7hours- never slept dat night) and i forgot how to do the 8marks kinematics question which was about the parabolic movement of a soccer ball. i was the most confident for the topic on kinematics but yet i wasted that question... but i can say im rather proud of my section c- got 13/20= 65%. but den, coz i was sick on the actual day of the test and i took the makeup test 2days later, the marks from dis physics test will not be counted towards the final grade in my promo exams. this may be a good thing coz i failed this time round but it also means i really have to buck up and do exceptionally well for my physics promos...

den i also did my gp makeup test for comprehension today. i'd say it was easy compared to the excercises we normally do during lessons and im confident of getting around 20-30/40 for this paper. i was so happy... but after i finished the paper and went for lunch, jason told me dat our gp teacher miss wan said dat the marks from the gp makeup tests i take wont be counted zzz... so wasted lor... if i get good marks for my gp this time round and its not counted, den i think i'll feel like banging the wall -_-

after sch we had to start doing the props, think of a group name and group cheer for the showitme filming session in the evening at 7:30pm. we went to get cardboard and materials and by the time we returned to the ine hub, it was around 5:30pm. den we tried to think of a group name. yi chiew mentioned the word "zhi1" and all of a sudden i thought of the word "zhi1 ma2", which meant sesame. den i remember sesame street and felt that the word was rather interesting. den our group decided to use "zhi1 ma2" but i felt that it was a bit weird to only have "zhi1 ma2" so i asked everyone to try to think of wad we can add to the back of "zhi1 ma2". after 5mins, debra thought of adding a "hu2" and jokingly said "zhi1 ma2 hu2". at that time i felt it was very good and everyone agreed- hence our grp name was "zhi1 ma2 hu2".

after thinking of the grp name, it was around 6pm. now we had the problem of thinking up a cheer. i thought of this rather lousy cheer: "zhi1 ma2 hei1, zhi1 ma2 bai2, zhi1 ma2 kai1 men2 ke4 ren2 lai2". we tried thinking of a better one for 15mins and melissa suddenly remembered her secondary sch class cheer. she modified for our "zhi1 ma2 hei1, zhi1 ma2 bai2" thingy and thought of "zhi1 ma2 hei1... hey hey heyhey!" next i thought of the 2nd verse: "zhi1 ma2 bai2... bai bai baibai". den melissa thought of the 3rd verse: "zhi1 ma2 hei1bai2... hui hui huihui" and it had a hidden meaning- our uniform was grey lol. finally i thought of the final verse: wo3 men2 shi4... zhi1 ma2 hu2!"

we felt the cheer was not bad, so i called up jia hui from mediacorp channel 8 at around 6:30pm and told her about our new development. she told us that our team name and cheer needed to have a meaning behind each of them, eg themes with teamwork, winning spirit, creativity, etc. but our problem was we just randomly thought of a word that was quite catchy and a cheer for the sake of having a cheer... at dat time we faced a big problem. den suddenly i tot of some cock and just cocked. i said we decided on "zhi1 ma2 hu2" coz zhi1 ma2 are usually scattered but zhi1 ma2 hu2 is a paste where the sesame seeds stuck together... so it symbolises our team spirit of togetherness lol. it worked but i couldnt come up with more cock reasons for our cheer and told her dat we would call back later if we thought of a reason but we just couldnt find a reason zzz.

we continued with our props until the filming crew arrived. before they started filming, the producers wanted us to sign a contract which stated dat we couldnt back out once they start filming and we must be permanent members and participate in showtime no matter wad. crap lol... i originally wanted to quit coz i felt i was gonna flunk my common test (on last friday after i took them) coz i had troubles doing most of the maths and physics questions. but i decided to stay on and continue participating in showtime coz i felt it was my responsibility to at least finish wad i started out to do and i thought i only needed to work hard for showtime only for 2 more weeks till 21jul becoz mdm woon told me dat i could quit after the first round since we would be able to have time to find replacements for me... but now, i think there goes my promo exams... i was planning to study everyday after sch but now it seems rather impossible coz i'll be very busy with showtime all the way from now till october.
halfway through the filming, ah ben asked dawn about the previous team name dat we thought of (but was rejected by the producers). so dawn told it to him...and guess wad... it was "ni3 ma1 de peng2 you3". den he asked how did we come up with dat name and dawn cocked and said it was coz my mother's friend came to my house when we were trying to think of a group name. den ah ben asked me to go over he asked some stuff and asked me to say wad it would be like if the "ni3" was changed to "ta1". at first i didnt dare say it coz dis was gonna be on national tv and we were in our national jc uniform. but he was persistent and prompted me and so i said "ta1 ma1 de peng2 you3". he joked around with us and den he asked each one of us who was gonna be the ghost. everybody said that they werent acting as the ghost and den he walked towards me and ian. he asked us to "ban4 gui3 nian3" which was to make funny faces. den he said i looked like the ghost so i must be the one acting as the ghost lol.

after the interview from ah ben ended, it was time for us to do the group cheer thingy. we presented our cheer to the producers but they said it had no meaning and didnt accept it. den suddenly an idea struck me. i was thinking of something to do with the creativity theme they wanted and i thought dat maybe we could change the 3rd verse into "hei1 bai2 hei1 bai2 bian4 cheng2 hui1", linked it to changing colours and linked that to creativity (in changing colours). so i replaced the 4th verse with "bian4 hua4 duo1 duan1 wo3 zhui4 xing2". at this time the producers still wanted us to have an ending which emphasized our desire to win. so i thought of "sheng4 li4 shu3 yu2 zhi1 ma2 hu2" and added it as the 5th and last verse. at this time, the producers felt that the last verse was a bit lo suo and yun shuen (or was it yi chiew? i forgot) suggested dat we change the last verse into "zhi1 ma2 hu2...... sheng4 li4!!!". so we finally came up with the final cheer...yippee lol. we had to practice the cheer a bit and during the practice, we came up with some actions. meanwhile ah ben tried to use the ine comp to go on the internet but i think the operation manager switched off the wireless connection... so ah ben couldnt connect to the internet.

next up was the filming of our cheer. it was around 9:50pm. the producer asked us to sit around a bench (with table) with me sitting on the table. we had a few ngs for the 1st 2 verses and the sch was gonna close (sch usually closes at 10pm). so the producer said dat they shld shoot us saying one verse, cut and shoot us saying the next verse and so on.

when it was finally over it was past 10pm... around 10:10pm and we finally got to go home. man the entire process was rather tiring lol... i really admire the artises who have to act, have ngs and many retakes.

den i ate my box dinner at the bus stop. after waiting till around 10:40pm, a 961 bus finally came. i immediately flagged at the bus and den started to close the styrofoam box (with my dinner in it). den the bus just went past... and i was rather pissed. had to wait around another 30mins or so for the next 961 to arrive zzz.

now we have 2 days to finish making our props, 3 days to rehearse before the preshow practice performance, and 2 weeks to rehearse before the actual show... man... things are really gonna be hectic from now on...gg

physics common test- grade SUPER!

just arrived home after spending an entire afternoon making props for showtime so dat we can have some props to present in tml's filming session.

our class got back our maths common test papers today. our class had... 1 person getting B, 2 people getting D, 6 people getting S (SUPER! lol...its subpass=fail) and 14 people getting F. i can bet dat our class surely is the worse in the level and all of us really flunked very badly together. i got 44 marks... one mark to E (pass) but i think S looks better den E lol. with this mark, i think i should be around the 4th-6th position in class... wow lol lmfao. hmmm i expected my grade to be worse coz i studied maths the night before (actually morning...) the common test from 2am to 9am (maths common test started at 9am). when i was studying, i totally forgot wad "sequence and summation" and "APGP" questions looked like and i studied those 2 chapters for 2 hours until i wanna cry...
anyway, wads done is done. now its time to look ahead and start bucking up.

just reached home after my showtime meeting. right now, its my biological 12nn...

i didnt sleep 2 nights before tonight and slept at 7am yesterday...
woke up at 3pm and thought of more ideas for our upcoming channel 8 Showtime performance. played Naruto arena till 9pm and did a bit of the proposal for our idea of presenting the Jaw Dropper (the one from Genting) for showtime.
started studying at 12am. finished studying chemical bonding and periodicity during the 40minute bus journey to school.

today's 7am = my biological 10pm coz i slept at 7am yesterday...

took the chem test at 9am and felt it was the easiest common test paper among physics, maths and chem though i didnt have enuff time to complete the paper 2 and to do 3 of the 20 questions for paper 1. chem test finished at 11:08am (my biological 2:08am)

then i had Showtime meeting at 3pm (my biological 6am)
during the meeting, we thought of a new idea and abandoned the Jaw Dropper idea.
the story: a child had psychic powers and could see thru the walls of containers. so his mother tested him using a cup and 3 dice. he could see what the dice were everytime his mother tried. then his mother's friend shook the cup so that one dice piled on another and a third dice was in front of the bottom dice. he couldnt see wad the last dice was and guessed wrongly.
the performance: have 3 pple acting as the child, the mother and the friend at a corner of the stage. a magnified cup with 3 die inside. when the child is using his psychic see-through powers a part of the cup will be somewhat removed/sliced off and the audience will be able to see the movement of the 3 die inside, as if they all gained psychic powers.
the whole team was rather excited at this idea but was disappointed when we called the tcs pple and they said we couldnt have any themes of gambling or usage of any gambling tools coz the media development authority said so -__-
so we thought of alternatives for the die, like beans and triangular die with pictures of aniamls -__- bleh...
gonna call media development authority tml and ask if they will approve our idea.. so mah fan... had to prepare wad to say until 8pm (my biological 11am)

we also thought of a funky group name for our team: ni ma de peng you. its supposed to be a bit similar to ta ma de to grab the viewers' attention, make them laugh and make them remember our grp. when melissa 1st suggested it, we all laughed. den when we told mdm woon (the teacher in charge of our showtime grp) she also had a hard time trying to stop laughing. but den the name was rejected by the tcs pple coz they said it was too similar to ta ma de and they couldnt have us saying: "qing da jia zhi ci ni ma de peng you!!!" on national tv to emphasize the need for the viewers to vote for us. oh crap gotta think of a new team name now... =(

den i received an relay msg sms at 7pm... our new tutor said she wanted us to study all the definitions for the chemical energetics (I) chapter, do a quiz on that during tml's lesson, finish the chemical energetics (I) tutorial AND answer to her if we cant do the quiz... wdf lor... i havent slept for one day and have been stressing my brain for the past 24hours. now my eyes feel like they are burning, as if they are gonna pop out and im starting to have a headache. gonna heck, bathe and sleep now... or else i think im gonna faint or start hallucinating due to extreme exhaustion. wad a sad day today is...

SYF 2006 Opening

haiz... why did my mc have to end yesterday. should end today den i can pon the SYF 2006 opening.
i was late today. when i was walking towards the row of bungalows, the bus with my classmates passed by me. i called rui chao and he told me dat there was a bus waiting for me in sch. so i pia from there all the way past rgps and into njc (in full grey uniform).
the SYF opening was held in the National Stadium (the outdoor one). when we reached there we saw students from other schs and the free food and mineral water they received. at dat time, i thought dat njc's welfare for students is rather bad. they never even gave us a bottle of mineral water. den we saw a carton of mineral water bottles lying around and we couped from there coz we were very thirsty.
when we entered the stadium at 3pm, it was so crappy hot. i felt dat its rather dumb to have an event in the middle of the scorching afternoon sun zzz... den all the boys from 06S13 (chee kian, kangyu, jason, rui chao, yan zhi, gabriel and i) went out of the stadium to buy ice cream and slack around.
at about 6:30pm we tried to leave. but only rui chao, yan zhi and i made it out. the rest wasted too much time being lazy and were caught. yan zhi went back while Rui Chao and i went to buy drinks. den we went back as well.
the whole thing ended at 7pm. we walked out of the east entrance, around the stadium to the west entrance and followed the crowd. when we were on the big bridge, we saw the neon lights of suntec city so we decided to walk there since we didnt know the way to kallang mrt and walking to suntec was the safest bet. we walked across the whole freaking nicole highway and halfway through i had a stomachache -_- (at abt 7:40pm)
when we finally reached suntec city it was 8:30pm. i found a toilet beside the KFC and i had a very bad diaorhea. luckily my ******* was strong enough to hold everything inside for an hour and i didnt stain my pants.
jason, kangyu and rui chao left while chee kian, lester, yan zhi, gabriel and i ate at KFC.

just reached home after my maths and physics common test. totally stunned coz i know my common test = gg.

i looked at the maths paper today... couldnt do over 40marks worth of questions and left them blank. those that i had an idea of how to do... may be wrong. prolly gonna fail maths zzz.

den i had a cake for lunch and studied physics in the remaing 1hour. den the physics test was the 2nd torturous experience i had to go through that day. for paper 1, i finished 16 out of 25 questions when i had 10mins left (the duration for paper 1 was 45mins) and i just shaded C for about 5 questions coz i didnt have time left. for paper 2, i didnt know what the questions were asking for 2 questions and forgot the formula for one question. 3 questions blank... and its not 3 parts... 3 full questions... zzz. prolly gonna fail physics as well...

now i dont even need to dream of taking physics h3 with dis kinda crappy results...

i managed to finish browsing through the physics notes and writing down the important formulas. read through waves and understand it but i dont feel like remembering anything from it since i have difficulty memorising the stuff from the rest of the topics.
i studied maths until i wanna cry lol. i forgot how sequences n summation, AP n GP and maths induction questions look like and how to do them...and im lost. right now i managed to read through till maths induction so im gonna go to sch and pia finish the 2 differentiation chapters (8&9) before the maths test starts at 9am.
the maths test will end at 12nn and i will have 1h 50min to study physics again.
hope i can get B for physics and at least D for maths lol... though it seems unlikely.

after i went to the clinic, the doctor asked me to go for a blood test for dengue fever coz ive been having fever for the past 6 days since last wednesday.
had my dinner in the hospital while waiting for the test results. the food at the cafeteria there was bearable...
den just when i finished eating, my results were out so i went to collect it. i had no dengue fever and the doctor gave me 5 days mc starting from today. he cocked up a bit and put the wrong dates for exemption from running: 31 May 2006 to 13 June 2006 (that was a month ago lol). i had him change it but he still didnt change it properly... (it still had some mistakes) ah well i couldnt be bothered to ask again and i went home.

went for the global enterprise challenge yesterday n today. just came back. it was organised by SMU. the food was not bad. the air con was a bit too cold. i was allocated to the pico art team together with 5 other people from other schools. we had a bubbly n experienced mentor mr daniel chew. he had a lot of trick n IQ questions, and made the experience a very lively one.

the challenge question for this year was "after the challenge was announced yesterday, we had a really difficult time trying to come up with an idea coz we wanted one dat was original. maybe we tried too hard to "think out of the box", and we ended up with ideas like setting up fire fighting bases in indonesia to help put out forest fires lol. we also tried to come up with a improved catalytic converter. our idea was to further convert carbox dioxide into some other substances. then mr chew told us that we could give some bullshit about a special XYZ chemical dat has been developed for converting carbon dioxide lol.

den the next day, we saw this heel strike generator dat was being used by the US Army.

so we thought of the idea of introducing heel strike generators in the normal shoes for sales to the public. by the time we decided on this idea and started developing on it, it was around 10+am... about 4hours away from the submission deadline. because of the lack of time, we gave a rather brief action plan and the figures for the possible monetary value of the benefits were all bull lol. and during the presentation, we fumbled a bit and couldnt finish our presentation within the 3minute time-limit. i was quite disappointed at dat time lol.

den after all the presentations, the organisers announced the winning n 1st runner-up teams. they said, "the 1st runner-up goes to the most creative team..." at dat time i had a premonition dat it was gonna be our team... and it was! lol i was so surprised at dat time. each of my team members got a $80 book voucher... not bad lol.

hmm.. in the end i think the biggest winner is SMU lol. its is really enterprising...(note: the participation fee is $130)

got my tcc-mdis bursary award today lol. the reception after the ceremony was quite ok. i think the siew mai, sausages and laksa were the best. didnt really like the other food as much lol.
after getting the award, i went to suntec city coz it was near to the raffles city convention hall where the bursary award ceremony was held. i was sorta despo for the autographing lacus so i checked out the hobby point there. but den, had no luck lol. so i decided to give the capsule stations a try and see if i could get my lacus dat way. so i walked around the stations looking for hgif gsd 4. while i was walking, i found two naruto real collection 4 capsule stations lol. its most likely a reissue =)

the moment came for me to try to tikam the autographing lacus. a capsule rolled to my hands and i took a peek. i got... lunamaria...-___- when i saw it, i thought, "crap shouldnt have bought a lunamaria spare from the shop." so i prayed i would get dat lacus next. and i got.... heine!!! -_- in fact, two heines in a row... !@#$%
for the 4th one, i tikamed mwu. and den it was murrue. bleh... was about to give up. den i thought "maybe the next one..." so i went to change for more coins.
i came back, put 3 coins in, turned the knob, and out came a figure with pink hair. "AUTOGRAPHING LACUS FINALLY!!! WOOT!!!" i thought. as i happily opened the capsule, i took a look at her hands. NOOOO!!! its the normal lacus...wad a disappointment -_-
so i tried again... and got kira... ok... dis is still ok...
the next try was the 8th zzz... dis time a capsule containing a figure with pink hair came out again. i immediately took a look at her hands... sadly it was normal lacus again. den i decided luck was not with me today and went home after i overcame the temptation of wanting to try again. well looking on the bright side, at least i managed to almost get an entire set (of extras) and it'll be easier to sell them off coz they're in a set.

den in the evening, after i went to church, i headed over to suntec again to have a look again. as i looked at the hgif gsd 4 capsule station, i was a bit demoralised and decided to try naruto collection 4 instead.

dis time round, i brought a torchlight with me to help me look into the capsules in the capsule stations. though i tried to look into the capsule station, i couldnt really see anything coz i didnt know the method of doing it lol. so i gave up on dat and just put in the coins and turned the knob. out came itachi. i thought, "wow not bad lol". den i tikamed another time and got itachi again. i sorta started getting worried and decided to try look at wad was next. while i was trying to look into the naruto real collection 4 capsule station, a pro tikamer was looking into the station beside with skill. so i asked him about the method of looking into machines. he explained patiently while i listened. i didnt really get it coz i couldnt really see anything lol. den when he had to leave, he drew a pic for me and told me to try figure out myself. it looked something like dis:

he also helped me to take a look at the next two capsules and he said they were both itachi. luckily he was there, if not i would have gotten 4 itachis lol.

so i decided to move over to the naruto real col 4 capsule station at the other end. it was almost empty and was only left with a few capsules. i tried to apply my skills and i saw a naruto head for the 1st capsule. den i turned the knob and out came sasuke. crap lol, my skill in looking into the capsule station was quite bad... i think i must have seen the catalogue paper dat had naruto's pic on it and mistook it for the figure lol. but hey, the next one dat came out was naruto XD wad a coincidence lol. den i took a look at the next 1st and 2nd capsules, and predicted dat the 1st would be jiraiya, the 2nd sasuke while the 3rd would be haku. i thought dat i should get the extra sasuke for the sake of getting haku. so i tikamed all 3.
den i decided to count the figures i had and see wad i was missing. and i found out i needed a kakashi. i looked into the almost empty capsule station for him and there he was on top. there were 6 capsules left at dat time. so i shook the capsule station a little and the capsule containing kakashi fell into the 3rd slot. now came a tough decision, i had to decide whether i should get 2 more extras just to get a kakashi or wait for someone to tikam away the 1st two. to help me decide, i took a look at the two capsules before it. the first one was definitely sasuke- again =( i couldnt confirm whether the 2nd one was sasuke or naruto, so i prayed dat it was naruto. in the end i decided dat i was gonna tikam all 3 coz i didnt want someone else to tikam it away and end up facing the same situation of trying to find a spare, especially when naruto real collection 4 is an old set and may not be available anywhere else at all. when i checked the capsules the 2nd capsule turned out to contain sasuke =( oh well.

had 3 sasuke spares and 1 itachi spare in the end, but looking on the bright side, at least i managed to complete the set without many hitches. and wads more, i have mastered about 70% of the skill of looking at capsules =P

hols day 7

had hockey training this morning. this time, the hockey girls trained with us... well... actually not exacly... we just trained in the same area after dat, we had played matches. the boys were divided into two teams A n B. i was in B. team A went up against the girls and ended with a draw. after watching the match, i think the girls' dribbling skills were slightly better than the boys'.
den there was a break and after dat my team went up against team A. it was quite close as well and no goals were scored after some time. so we decided dat the golden goal would decide who wins. den after some time... just as yong jun (opp team) made a pass, i blocked the ball and ran up with it. den wei xian tried to stop me. he was able to block me from shooting at the goal the first time i hit the ball. but i recovered and continued to dribble the ball upwards with wei xiang marking me well. den i tried to hit again. but i missed. wei xiang tried to jab the ball away but he missed too. right after dat i tapped the ball forward and scored a goal by hitting the ball into the goal.
i think i made a very big mistake 3 times and was lucky wei xiang didnt make me lose the ball. i shouldnt have hit with wei xiang so close- should have used a push instead.

den after dat, i went to collect my hg fullmetal alchemist set 1 n hgif evangelion set 3 figures. lucky me lol managed to find them though they are rather rare now coz they are old sets =)

weird dream lol

woke up today from a very weird dream.
there was this giant blob that was after me. it wanted to eat me because i was the last component it needed so that it can end this world and restart one. so i ran away from the blob. it couldnt catch up with me but i knew i couldnt run away forever. den i met a friend. after dat, we coincidentally met a researcher who gave 2 mobile suits so dat we could destroy the blob. i put on my suit and went into my mobile suit while my friend went into his.
den suddenly, my friend disappeared lol. i went out of the base in my mobile suit but when i met the blob, my mobile suit disappeared lol. so i started running away from the blob again. den for no apparent reason, i suddenly knew that my friend was eaten by the blob though i never saw him get eaten lol. but the blob soon caught up with me and ate me. so the world restarted and i suddenly had another dream lol.

must have been watching too much anime XD. now im having them in my dreams lol.

went to school today for physics lecture... but slept through it.

den i went with rui chao to buy the chem tys and photocopy some stuff. the photocopying shop was closed so we went to the library. and so zhun... i met her at the library entrance. but i didnt know wad to do... so bo bian go inside the library's photocopying machines. den so zhun again- she also went to photocopy stuff and she used the photocopying machine next to mine. budden i dunno wad to do again... sian...
i asked rui chao if he wanted to study in the library but he didnt want to. so liddat i went out of the library (sian...). den i met pek boon at the canteen. i asked him if he wanted to study in the library. he looked for yi hong (dunno why) den tok tok till yi hong went for his pw tutorial. haiz... den when we finally was reaching the library entrance, i saw her walking in the direction of the bookshop. she left the library... missed the chance to study with her- sian...

den we studied till 11+am and went to eat lunch. den i went to self-practise hockey. den went home. but... went i reached home, i discovered i didnt bring key and nobody was at home- zzz. so i slept beside the door and waited for someone to open the door. slept from 1+ to 2, saw nobody so sleep again...till around 4 den my grandma finally came home. my butt and feet felt a bit sore coz the ground was hard and i slept there for about 3 hours lol.

after dat went for hockey. met john for the 1st time. i think hes quite good coz hes a team player, makes passes very well and is rather skillful as well.

den went home... at around 10+, just as i was going to sleep, so zhun she came online!! its been ages since she last came online so i chatted with her till about 11+ (just now) when she had to go offline. haiz if only we could chat longer...

X-Men 3...

had chem spa today. sorta lagged behind coz i did my experiment very very slowly lol. in the end had to pia finish the calculations in the last 10minutes lol. but i think the spa was rather easy lol.

den i went to watch x-men 3 at marina square with rui chao, chee kian n yan zhi. i think the movie was rather plain with quite a lot of inconsistencies...
i thought that angel would be joining in the fight coz he was suit up in the x-men posters. it was quite a let down- the only thing he did was to save his dad when he fell off the building and u dont see him for the rest of the movie...
jean grey's telekenesis was portrayed to be extremely strong in the beginning when she killed professor x. the entire building levitated while wolverine was stuck to the ceiling and could only move by stabbing his claws into the ceiling and pulling himself. but towards the end, before he killed jean, he was able to stand firm to the ground though everything else was lifted (including the water from the surrounding sea).
den i think the story was slightly dumb as well... if jean was so damn powerful, why did magneto even need an army. he just needed jean. the dumbest thing is, this time he needed an army just to storm a building... -_- couldnt he have used jean or something? and magneto could have also asked jean to kill the boy from where she stood instead of sending juggernaut...
dats not all... the screen time of the main mutants battling is so little dat i think that the action wasnt enough.
btw, if u ever wonder why the doctor called out "Charles" to the patient, its probably coz professor x transfered his consciousness to that coma patient using his powers. (remember he was asking the mutants whether it was ethical to transfer someone's consciousness into a coma patient's body?)

the cinema was very cold lol. after we crossed the road, when chee kian opened his bag and put his hand in it, it felt like air con lol. after dat, the rest went home while i went to collect my hgif evangelion sets 1n2. they are very rare but i managed to get the authentic ones for only $35!! though they were displayed before, i feel dat im very lucky to even be able to find them (very good condition somemore) ... and even luckier to get them only at $35 =D

anyway, today we (me, rui chao, jason, kangyu, chee kian, yan zhi, gabriel, melissa) went to send fanyi off. i arrived late, so after i came we decided to take a pic. we all wanted to find someone to help take it for us... but i think the rest were a bit shy so i took the camera and asked a person, who was queueing up to check in, to help us. and den fanyi went to check in.

after dat, we went to burger king to eat. den we went home. well... the rest went home (i think). i went to collect my 1/100 justice gundam

its a 1st ed one so it has a limited edition stand included. now, im waiting for the 1st ed 1/100 legend gundam to come out next month so dat i will have all 4 of the gsd gundams: destiny, strike freedom, infinite justice, legend.

woot! i found an authentic bleach characters set 2 for only $55!! (the two other places dat i know are selling the figures are selling the set at $100!!) dats saving $45!! =D not only that, the figures are unopened and new.
not only dat, i also managed to find gundam seed destiny ef set 1 =) after being the so many places, its the first ever gsd ef 1 set i have ever seen.
so lucky today lol =)

FUNTASIA 2006

our class funtasia stall was a success!! 06s13 is the civics class dat raised the most money- $4954!!, among all the civics classes.

our class sorta had two stalls- one selling ice cream and the other pizza. well, i was in charge of selling and cutting pizzas. they were in extremely popular demand as the crowd continually visited our stall. as a result, we constantly ran out of ready and cooked pizzas for sale because we couldnt keep up with the demand at the pace we were cooking the pizzas at. i think the most memorable moment was when a lady came to buy 10 boxes of frozen pizzas (in the boxes) from our stall. she paid $120 for pizzas dat she could have bought at ntuc at much cheaper prices... wow lol.
the deluxe cheese flavoured pizza was very very popular and it was the first to sell out at around 12nn. after that, the hawaiian pizzas sold out at around 2+pm. by that time, we only had less than 15 pizzas left. h
owever, i had to leave the stall for church at around dat time so i wasnt able to stay and witness the pizzas being sold out. anyway, i came back at around 5pm and i helped with the packing up of the stall. i asked wad happened in my absence and the rest told me dat we sold out our pizzas by around 3pm =) den jason told me dat there was dis man who paid generously for our ice cream lol. he came and paid $20 for one scoop of ice cream, saying dat ice cream is fattening. after dat, he came back and paid $20 again for another scoop of ice cream. i wonder where his money comes from lol. den xinying asked me to help her carry the bamboo poles back to her grandma's house. so i went to help her and we went back to njc after dat.
the remaining people decided to celebrate by drinking some apple juice. meanwhile, we (the boys) watched the videos dat fanyi took on his notebook. he showed us the short film dat he made for submission to MOE. in the middle of it, he included something DAMN FUNNY! it was a video of yan zhi showing a soccer betting ticket (betted $10 dat barca will win arsenal, odds 1.5:1) from the singapore pools. he took out the ticket and posed smugly with it, with a great big grin! everyone watching it laughed becoz the film was submitted to MOE!- and yan zhi posed proudly with the betting ticket!-to MOE!-student+bettting ticket!- LOL
after dat, everyone tried to decide on a place to have dinner. i suggested xi hu xiao chi and we ended up there in the end. when we arrived, we ordered 4 medium dishes. it took really really long for each dish to come up so we had lots of time in the mean time. sometimes adeline gave some reflection speeches and at other times we played some games. when first dish finally came, we gobbled everything up within a minute or so. some of the games we played after dat included filling the glass with water (if it overflows, the person loses). after the first 4 dishes, everyone still didnt feel satisfied, so we went on to order two more dishes- large ones. this time, adeline suggested dat we play an elimination version of zhong ji mi ma. adeline, yi feng and i ended up as the sole 3 "survivors" of the elimination, and i ended up beating adeline in the end=) den she gave me the magic ball toy dat we originally bought so dat we could give it out during funtasia.
the day ended well and everyone bid their farewells as we left for home after the dinner =)

COPPA STALIA DAY

we had the coppa stalia today. aerius only had one team- us and 06S13 made up over half the team lol.
i think the first match was the highlight. we won 8-0 =D. wei hong scored 5 goals out of the 8. during the 2nd half, i dribbled from mid field all the way to the penalty area and took a shot. too bad the keeper caught it. well at least it was a shot on target. after dat, rui chao also missed his chance of scoring a goal. he was standing in front of the goal post and the ball went to him. he kicked (or was it deflected?) the ball but it hit the post and went out. lol
after that match, we went on to win 1 more match but lost the 3rd match and qualified for the semi finals.
during the semi finals our team was up against the team from ignis... their team was really strong with thomas, haikal, etc. we lost dat match.
after dat, we were up against solaris (dunno A or B) and we won dat game to become 3rd. not bad la 3rd- got chocolate.

after coppa stalia, me, rui chao, yan zhi, chee kian, jason and kangyu went to help out with the setting up of our funtasia stall. den gabriel came along.

we (adeline, debbie, yi feng, xinying, hwee shan, wei ting, melissa, queenie, yueh hsin) set up till quite late... at about 9:30pm, queenie and yueh hsin went off while the rest of us went to KAP.

it was very crowded at KAP but we managed to find our seats. halfway through eating, the girls suggested dat we have a bonding session... so kangyu, chee kian, jason, rui chao moved to the other table while wei ting, yi feng, hwee shan came over to over our table- nooooooo the fries lol (kangyu moved over together the fries)
we tok cok while we ate and den after finishing our food, we had some interactive games.
adeline said chilli+curry+coke= exothermic rxn and told us to feel the heat. at first 4 pple put their hands there to try feel the heat. den they suddenly withdrew their hand. i dunno why but i put my hand there after they withdrew lol. den adeline smacked and my hand n yan zhi's hand were covered with the sauces lol. chee kian ah... he tricked himself XD. he put chilli sauce on his own tray and put his hand over it. adeline saw the opportunity and smacked. chee kian ended up with a dirtied hand as well lol.
after dat, yi feng tried a trick on me. she told me to put my hands flat on the table and she put a cup of tap water on my left hand and a cup of coke on my right hand. at first i was balancing the cups rather well... but the cup on my left hand suddenly lost balance. den the cup on my right hand also lost balance lol. dunno wad happened but the cup of coke was spilled while the cup of plain water was alright LOL. after dat, i tried to balance the cup of water on my right hand but while doing it, yan zhi tickled me and i spilled the water. u should have seen how jason reacted XD. we didnt have tissue so i went to the toilet to take some to clean up the mess. den debbie and yi feng took pictures of me- with the tissue (a big pile of it). lol
den somebody (forgot who) asked me to try balance two cups of ice. they wanted to leave me stranded but i flipped the cups up and caught them. then everyone asked for an encore and yi feng wanted to video it. dis time, when i tossed them up, yan zhi ticked me. so i couldnt catch the cups well and a few ice cubes flew out.
because we had some leftover fries, jason asked me to try the throwing-catching act with fries boxes (with fries included) dis time. so i tried and i succeeded lol. after dat, we went home.

i overslept on the bus i took... luckily hong ern was on the same bus as me. or else ah no one wake me up and i sleep sleep till dunno where lo lol.
when i reached home, i found a letter dat TCC sent me. it told me dat i will get to receive the MDIS-TCC bursary award. woot! not bad can get money =)

bootleg figures in comics connection

i happened to go to shopping centres with comic connection in them while buying my bag and stuff and i went into them to take a look at the figures they were selling.
a few comic connection shops dat i went to sold bleach trading sets 1 n 2... AND they were priced at $25.90!! at first i was amazed but i wondered how come comics connection sold them at such cheap prices. i also noticed something wrong. the faces of the characters didnt exactly look right and the paint at the figures' shoes and socks were not well done. seeing dat the sets were too cheap to be true, i decided not to buy them before i confirmed something.
i also saw some other gashapon sets dat were quite hard to find being sold there. but some of them looked awfully done so i decided to play safe and not buy any at all coz they may all be bootlegs. there was one inuyasha set dat was being sold at the far east shopping centre comics connection. it resembled the gashapon inuyasha set 3 but it looked totally awful and out of shape- the colour was off and the moulds were bad... lol
on my way back home, i decided to check out the place selling the bleach trading sets @ $100+ and ask the shop owner whether the comics connections were selling bootlegs. he told me dat the bootlegs have black supports for the legs (not toking abt the base) while the authentic ones have colourless supports for the legs.
i dont think i'll ever trust comic connection or buy figures from them coz they stock up so much bootlegs.

today is a monday and it was rather eventful.
in the morning the lt5 air con so damn cold la... i think is the OM trying to take revenge coz last wednesday we complain complain complain. maybe they intend to freeze us to death... or give us brain freeze... lol (toking cok)
den today the econs tutorial quite fun. lucky today is miss heng, den the lesson so lively lol. her lesson quite interesting den the time pass so fast. but tml is... -_- sian. i think i gg tml...
den when i came home, there was a miracle! my com became ok for no reason. last sat my com cannot detect my hd + cannot repair the windows... but i didnt wanna reformat coz i already reformatted my com more den 7 times within the last 2 months. so i heck. den today my com came alive again! haha. budden i think the hd still got prob one... so better use it as much as possible while i still can.

today ah, the whole school had a feedback session with the principal in the hall.
after she tok finish about wad funtasia and some ulu ulu things, it was time for students to go up to the mic and give feedback
den got dis girl tok about grandstand got a lot of mosquito... and i remembered the time when i climbed the gate on the left of the grandstand

it was a saturday. feb... shld be 11. after i climbed past the 1st gate, i reached the 2nd one.
so i tot i shld try climbing over it coz i already climbed over the 1st. when i managed to climb to the top, i tried to think of the way to get to the other side coz the spikes at the top were really long.
while thinking, i noticed dat the top of the pole of the gate got a hole and inside got water. i saw some black black thing inside.
i was wondering wad it was so i looked closely... the black black things were moving. when i looked up close, i saw them... they were mosquito larva. dat was the 1st time i saw a real life mosquito larva up close lol.
i thought... no wonder la. whenever we train at the semi-d there always kena mosquito bite. its all because got one bloody kns mosquito breeding ground right beside us.

btw i wonder ah... the gahmen got check people's houses and fine those who keep stagnant water one right? budden hor... how come they nvr come njc check and fine us?

anyway, after i remembered about this mosquito breeding gate, i decided to give feedback on it. or else one day ah... the gate breed so many mosquitoes dat they need a lot of food and all come sting everyone. den ah everyone will die from swarms of mosquitoes stinging them.
so i walked to the mic and tok lor. den the principal ask how i know. so i tell her i climbed the gate. den she told us dat the gates actually have cctv one... and she even saw girls wearing skirts climbing over the gates lol. meanwhile, everyone in the hall laughed lol.

NAPFA (22 Apr 2006)
lol overslept till 8am today. when i reached there, i had to pia finish my 5 items before 2.4 run started.
just when i finished 4 items and had sit and reach left, mr menon said the 2.4 run was gonna start. den during the run i had stitch by the 2nd round -_-
but den, 2 miracles happen!!

originally i was gonna fail sit n reach. i tried sit n reach during PE and i could only reach 32cm after i cheated. aka if i dont cheat, i fail.
but den... one dat day after the 2.4 run i went for intensive stretching training... and woot 40cm! got skill one lol.
since i managed to get C for sit n reach, i thought it would be a waste to not get gold, so i decided to retry my standing board jump to try get 6cm more to get C coz i only jumped 220cm.

so i decided to try out at the spare mat. i did 3 squats, shook my legs and tried jumping on the spare mat.
at first hor, i jump back the same 220cm. but i tried again and suddenly it increased to 230!
230cm=C so i asked mr sham can try again anot. den he told the girls "let this joker try again".
so i jumped. but on my 1st jump, i jumped back to 220cm... i du diao.
so i went back to the starting line and jumped... but dis time OVER 240cm!! budden, i could only maintain my balance for 3sec and i fell backwards after dat. mr sham say not counted... walao so wasted.
so i tried the third time... and i jumped to 236cm!! pro right? improvement of 16cm in one hour without training! lol

its march holidays but im having this stupid fever. freak dis.

S13 outing (5 March 2006)
for the 1st ever S13 outing, we went to Marina Bay. i overslept and arrived late. kind of disappointing when i reached there- there were only a few people: marcus, lester, chee kian, kevin, olivia, chin pei, shu lin, melissa, vanessa, queenie, adeline. first, we did some bowling and den we had dinner.
we ate at dragon village. the food was ok but the fire wasnt. for some reason, the fire for our steamboat thingy wasnt working well and only one side of it could be used coz the other side couldnt get heated up at all. and we couldnt make any good soup coz the water couldnt boil zzz -_-
den while the others were eating, lester and i decided to go to the arcade and play house of the dead 3. hes quite good at it coz he knows when to throw the grenade so dat the cyclops wouldnt kick u and where to get health. we didnt lose even a single life until the 2nd stage. the 2nd boss was much harder den the 1st boss. we lost almost all our lives to the 2nd boss lol.
after dat, we went back to the others but they wanted to go to the arcade, so we went back in. they played pool while lester and i decided to play house of the dead 3 again. sadly we still lost to the 2nd boss... -_-
den it was time to go home... everyone who was left took the bus together to marina bay mrt. when the train came, marcus, lester and chee kian got onto the train. me, kevin, olivia, chin pei, queenie got into the train too but just when the train doors were about to close, we ran out. after dat, we met up with marcus at the raffles place station and marcus+those who ran out (except queenie), took the east-west line together.
its sad dat half of us wont be in the same class anymore.

i was thinking..."WADDE!!" when i saw that i got A2 for chem and A1 for bio. i had expected my chem to be A1 coz it's been my better subjs while i tot i would flop for bio coz i didnt really study bio for the past two years... slacking/recharging my energy during bio lessons, didnt do TYS for about 1.5years, didnt study before o level coz geog was on the same day...
geog... im happy i got A2 lol. the best i ever got for geog was a B3 and i only got it once.
hcl...MIRACLE man!!! i dunno how the hell i got A2! i failed the first two sections coz i never studied the words n the best grade ive ever gotta for hcl was B4. i got like c5 most of the time...
i think the most miraculous was still my english...i got A1. i originally thought that my compo was gonna flop coz i wrote some crap.
during my eng comp exam, my mind was blank and i couldnt think of anything to write. den, i suddenly remembered the topic that was discussed during 非常男女. They discussed whether people should get married if the gal got pregnant. den i saw the topic- marriage, so i thanked god and decided to write an expo... that marriage should not be the solution for pregnancies due to premartial sex.
at first, when i was writing the compo, i felt it was quite a interesting idea... but after a day or two... i started regretting it. i felt that the topic was kinda too unique and maybe the marker will fail me for entering the forbidden realm for my compo.
well, the marker must have liked my topic lol.

im happy that im gonna be able to go to njc..... =)

I met with dog shit 2 times on my way home today...
I bought an 80g pack of calbee potato chips and walked home while eating my chips...
When i was near my block, i saw some leaves on the floor so i decided to kick em for fun. (the leaves landed on something after i kicked em for a few times) just as i was about to kick em again, i suddenly noticed that the leaves landed on 3 pieces of dog crap. lucky sia... the pieces of crap were just a few centimetres away from my shoe. if i didnt see em, i would have kicked the leaves and stained my shoe with dog crap.
Then i continued on my way home. When i was climbing the stairs to the storey that i was staying on, i think i met with dog shit again. (It should be dog shit...i cant imagine it as human shit...who the hell will shit there lol?)
The piece of shit, or rather... pile of shit, was so big that it looked like a tumor. I compared its size with my bag of chips and it was definitely bigger than the bag of chips... I was thinking, "Holy Shit. How the hell did the dog pass off such a big lump of shit?!"

i studied more than half of the bio textbook today in 2 hours.... after the geog paper ended.
Everything just read briefly... go into exam room forgot everything lol. My brain was totally empty before the papers started.
At first i thought im gonna fail for bio coz i didnt study it at all. BUT NOW... i think i can get at least a B3 lol.
i never expected bio PAPER 2 (NOTE ITS PAPER 2!!) to be filled with section B structured questions... where you only need to tick options most of the time!!
Then, i smoked my way through section C lol. lucky sia =)

1st thing i saw after alighting from the bus was a big swarm of red ants devouring the remains of a dead bird...
After buying potato chips, as i walked into the HDB block, i noticed a black cat acting strangely. It looked like it was shivering and it had its back arched...then... a brown patch of gooey stuff fell out of its ass. That was the 1st ever time i caught a cat shitting in action so i was astonished and i watched on. As i approached the cat, it suddenly stopped his big business and turned to stare at me. I stared back at it. We stared at each other for 3 minutes or so. Then, it ran off all of a sudden. I followed it secretly as i hid behind the pillars. After pacing around, the black cat sat down and started licked its ass...-_-
I decided to walk on after sometime and i noticed something black on the floor just as i was about to step on it. Initially, i thought it was dog poo so i retracted my leg and heave a sigh of relieve. However, as i decided to examine closely, i discovered that it wasnt shit. It was a frog. A flattened frog...and a badly decomposed one as well. There were ants crawling all around it and it was so badly decomposed that it turned black...
What an eventful journey back home... -_-

Dont know why... but I just had the urge to do it in the middle of the night at 1:30am.
But then, who the hell will pack his stuff in the middle of the night (at 1:30)??!
What's more, i have school tomorrow... wait no, its today since its 2:24am now. Only got 3 hours more before i gotta start preparing for school...

I happened to watch 《走向共和》 on channel 8 today.
The eunuch was belated after finding his precious... so he played with a pussy cat and disturbed the empress dowager's nap. The empress dowager decided that he should tell her a story so that she would forgive him. Since he ran out of ideas, he decided to try look in the papers for a story and he found one about a 3 year old boy and a gambler.

There was this 3-year-old boy and his parents wagered a bet against anybody who was up to the challenge. The challenge was for any person to imitate 3 actions from the boy.
One day, a man decided to take up the gamble.
For the first action, the boy took off all his clothes. The man followed suit.
The man wondered why the 1st challenge was so easy.
Then a naked woman came out.
The young boy crawled up the woman and kissed and touched her. This was the second action. Upon seeing this, the man became extremely delighted and kissed and touched the woman as well. Then, the man thought "the next action would be to..."
Finally, the boy did the 3rd action... and when the man saw it, he admitted defeat immediately.

Eng Oral Exam (11 Aug 2005)
Today, i took the oral exam. Everything went fine at first... that is until halfway though the conversation part. i was stunned when the examiner asked me what would a person look for in a job. i had no answer. How was i to know? i didnt think about the job i was gonna do in the future before...so how would i know wad a person would wanna look for in a job?
Probably wouldnt do very well this time for oral...zzz

Halfway through doing my a maths worksheet, with a pile of other homework waiting in line, i became rather tired of work and decided to take a break. As i surfed the net aimlessly with a cornetto mini in my mouth, all of a sudden, i had an urge to create a blog... and so here it is...
